Sled dog training/ starting a puppy?
HiI am getting a Samoyed and I am trying to get into mushing. I live near a mushing club. I am getting a Samoyed in a few months she will be eight weeks when I get her. I have been reading alot on Mushing and training the dogs. I plan on getting my Samoyed trained and when she is about 18 months adopting 2 more 1 or 2 year old sled dogs which have started their training. So I need some infor on starting a puppy all the sled dog training book say to get a " Puppy Harness" and have them wear that when they are outside running starting at about 9 weeks. I h a have read that a " Puppy Harness" is a really light weight harness made out of really thin fabric and it resembles a mushing harness. I have looked online though and I can't find any for sale. I can only find the heavy weight tough ones for older dogs. Where could I find a puppy harness made for starting a ssled dog?Also what are some good books to read? When should I start having her pull twigs and stuff?Orange CO Obviously you did not read the question or have no idea what your talking about. Sled dog harness Normal harnesses that you can get at wal mart, petco, etc. are as good as using a collar when mushing. They put presure on the dog's throat and that can kill a hard working sled dog. How to get dad to understand proper dog training?
So my family keeps trying to get my dad to comprehend that no matter how smart our 9 month old Aussie is, she doesn't know English. He'll catch her getting food off the table and say " no, bad dog You don't get food off the table. Sit Bad Bad dog You can stay outside now" . Then half an hour later, he'll let her in and say " bad dog, naughty" . We've reminded him although she ought be disciplined she's not human, and that a simple no, bad dog will do, that saying no after " sit" will confuse her, and that dogs don't remember their wrongdoing half an hr later. He does know this, but when he gets angry he tends to forget. We try to have him stay out of it, but he can't help but get involved. What way might better help him understand? Thanks.

My dog who is now 9 months old is a lab mix. I rescued her when she was 8 weeks old. She is a very sweet dog, and she loves attention from everyone. Theres not a mean bone in her body. But I desperately need help training her. DESPERATELY. I am a certified animal nutritionist, and because I have this title many people expect me to have a well trained dog. I literately enrolled her in training when she was 5 months old, and then my house flooded, which left me very little money to spend and little time to waste. I plan to enroll her when I get the chance but for now I would love any advice I can get. Here are my issues with her 1. She is a puller. She is only 46 pounds but she can pull my arm off. I have tried harnesses, haltis, no pull harnesses, gentle leaders. Everyone of those she will actually walk backwards and pull me. The only thing I can sort of control her with is a prong collar. I would love to learn how to walk her on a loose leash. How can I do this?2. I crate train her. I come home 3 times from work everyday to walk her. She is perfectly fine in her crate, however every once in a while I will allow her to have free roam of a blocked off room. If I do this she will have an accident on the floor. This is not acceptable. How do I get her learn not to pee or poop If I allow her to have free roam, even if its for 5 minutes?3. I walk her 3 miles everyday. The park that I go to sometimes has no one there and sometimes has a few people there. If she ever comes in contact with someone she is a mess. She will jump all over them, get them tangled with her lease, pee from excitement. I always ask people to acknowledge her only and if she sits for them, which never happens. I continuously try to get her to sit and to calm down. I tell her no when she jumps on them. How can I get her to sit nicely for people? She is very food motivated but food will not distract her from people.4. Like I said she is very food motivated. And because of this I have trained her to do 14 commands, which she is wonderful at. But I want her to listen to me with out the treats. I would like her to come because she wants to listen to me. I want her to sit at the door before I take her for a walk. 60 % of the time she will not do any this. If you could please help me I would really appreciate it. Please give me details and a plan I should work on. I want to be able to show people how beautiful she is, please help me get to my goal.
How much should I charge for dog training?
I am a 14 year old girl and I am going to charge money to teach dogs how to walk on a leash properly. I researched everything on how to do it, so now I know how to do it. It's called loose leash walking, and basically every time they tug you simply stop, wait until they come back, praise them, and move on. I was wondering what I should charge for my services. It'll be 1 on 1, me with their dog, at their home or a well spaced area.What should I charge? How long should the session last?

Tips on dog training?
I'm 13 and I have a wolf, which is slightly more stubborn than an average dog. In the future I want to have a wolf rescue, that is why I have him. It is a lot of work but it is really worth it. I read books on raising him by nicole wilde but any extra hints will be helpful. Don't write hate messages, cause I don't care and I'm tired of it, shut up and leave me be. I've already heard the fake messages " He will turn" No they don't if you raise them right. " They are aggressive" pf ft not.Any dog training tips help, he's not too different from a dog, he is a sweetheart.Thanks to anyone who helps
