How to train a lab to stop chewing, whining, and jumping on people?
My boyfriend got a lab when she was 14 weeks old, and has had her for 2 months now. She chews everything... recently she started chewing up the couch. We've tried chewing toys, huge bones, kongs, etc. she loses interest in them within 5 mins and she's back to chewing everything else. we put her in the kennel while were gone and sleeping to keep her from getting into things. we put her outside to play and potty and she tears up the door trying to get in. she will only stay out there for a little a few minutes if my pomeranian is out there. the lab is constantly getting on my poms nerves and they fight constantly. I have a 6 year old that she constantly jumps on. she's already bitten him in the ear, arms, legs, back etc and makes him bleed. she whines as soon as she is put in the kennel and wont stop. we tried ignoring her and it doesnt work. I personally believe she should be an outside dog she was an outside dog when he bought her . my boyfriend wont get rid of her but isnt here to train her. i try to do what i can and she doesnt listen to me... its like she doesnt know what im saying. I tell her to go outside and she just stands there. i tell her to get in the kennel, she tries to crawl under the table... she doesn't even learn a thing or two from watching my pom. she is driving me NUTS. I am a mother, i work, i go to college, i have my own dog to deal with, and still try to keep up with the house, etc. I don't know what else to do but somethings got to work. thanks in advance for some advice.

Ive had a few dogs in my lifetime but this is my first Lab. She gets tons of exercise outside i mean hours of running daily , I've trained her the command " down" which she obeys when its just her and I inside the house at all other times she completely ignores my commands . I've tried treats, Ive tried pushing her down and holding her their until she calms down, Ive even tried an electronic collar. I'm just out of ideas aside from shelling out $1000 i dont have to spare for dog bootcamp.
I have 4 big dogs, how do I get them to stop jumping on people and barking?
I have a black lab a yellow lab and 2 mutts, and whenever we come home or someone comes over they totally spaz out. They all jump on you and bark for at least 3 minutes. We yell at them and it seems to just make it worse. I am at a crossroads here because, I am embarrassed to have anyone over here, and this just needs to stop. I love all my dogs like they are my kids but this just cannot continue. Please help if you can. What can I do?

my 10 month old Peppa is always jumping on anyone who comes around her.I got her to stop outside but it doesn't work insideshe is a pit bull,german shepard rottie mix.The mom is a full blooded pitbull.Peppa is almost too friendly but she has protect my daughter and myself at different times.We are new pet owners and aren't not giving her up or mating her.But as she is also aggresive at playok she has been closed in the bathroom or bedrooms.however she was house trained at 3 months.she gets a long run through 5 backyards.Have nice neighbors with dogs and our yards connect.If you ignore her she cries and whines.She has a lot of energy and sits with tail waging when you reach for her leash.And any leash get eaten after a week so now I use a chain leash.
How can I get my 2 yr old male Weimeraner to stop jumping on people?
Initially I thought it was just puppy excitement, but it's not going away. I can't have any people over, especially little kids, because he starts jumping around and scares them. All he wants to do is play, he's not out to hurt anyone. He is 92 pounds. Even though he listens pretty well when he's calm, the " down" command seems useless when someone new comes in the house... Any suggestions, comments?
How do I stop my 1 year old boxer from jumping on people on her walks and pulling when she sees other dogs?
I apologize in advance for the long questions. She has never jumped my boyfriend or me and I have successfully trained her not to jump on friends or family members when they come over. But on her walks I have been having problems with people who want to come and say hello. They encourage her to jump and talk in a " baby" voice which makes her behavior even worse. I explain to them that I am teaching her not to jump and that I don't want to reward her unwanted behavior by giving her attention. In some cases that works but unfortunately not very many. Many people insist it is okay and I try to politely respond that it's not okay because they are rewarding her for bad behavior Many people still wont listen. At this point the dog is extremely hyper and won't respond to any command very well. I force her to lie down in situations where she get's to hyper but she is now 1 and doesn't seem to be listening any better. I don't know what I am doing wrong. My second problem that I have is that when she sees things, it could be a blowing leaf or a squirrel she try's to lunge at it. If I can anticipate it I can attempt to stop her from lunging at what ever her attention is focused but she has tunnel vision. More often than not I am not successful from stopping her. I have tried to make her lie down which is the only thing that sort of works. I have a martingale collar but no amount of leash snapping or pulling can direct her attention away. I have tried a few different methods but I don't know what I am doing wrong but she still pulls me around on our walks more often than not. She know how to heel but in those situations nothing seems to get through to her.What am I doing wrong and does any one have any suggestions to help me out, Thank you for taking the time to read all this and respond.

She has stopped jumping on me and my family but it is really hard to control her around new people because she gets so excited. I used to let her off leash in the woods but now I cant because she jumps on everyone. Any Ideas?

My dog is a very friendly saint bernard mix. He would never hurt anyone but people tend to be uneasy around him because of his size and because he gets excited and tries to jump on people especially kids when he sees them on the street, or if someone comes to the house. He even jumps up not on my family when we come home. My grandparents are so paranoid that they will not even be in the same room with him i think it's funny though that they are afraid of my dog when they have an ankle bitter some kind of terrier who has attacked one of their own grand kids. So I guess my question is will my dog stop jumping up on people now that he is neutered? Or will I have someone train him not to?

I have a great dane lab puppy 3 months old he's already huge with heavy paws. He's so playful but he keeps jumping on people. How do I train him to not jump on people. Also, I''m having a hard time walking him because he leads and drags me. Because he's so hyper, I know i need to walk him everyday. How do I get him to follow instead of leading? Any type of information would be great. Also I want to start running again. Is it too much to take him running with me or should I wait till I get the walking down first?Also... I don't mean i want my dog to run with me without a leash. I mean with a leash. Why would I want my dog to run without one if I can't get him to walk with one on lol. Thanks...
